WISL Weekend Preview: Key Matchups in Men’s and Women’s Leagues

Snohomish Sky at Tacoma Galaxy – WISL Women’s – Saturday, Jan. 31 – 7 p.m.
 It will be a battle of the top clubs in the WISL Women’s league as Snohomish Sky and Tacoma Galaxy clash at the Tacoma Soccer Center. Both teams have been strong this season, setting up an exciting matchup for fans.

Snohomish Sky, currently in fourth place, enters the game unbeaten so far, while Tacoma Galaxy has suffered just one loss this season. With both teams performing at a high level, this matchup promises to be competitive and closely contested.

Bellingham United at Oly-Pen Force – WISL Women’s – Saturday, Jan. 31 – 7 p.m.
 Both teams will look to end multi-game losing streaks when they meet this weekend on the Peninsula. Bellingham United, currently 1-3 and in third place, will aim to snap a two-game losing streak as it takes on Oly-Pen Force.

Oly-Pen Force, sitting in fourth place, comes into the matchup riding a four-match skid and is still searching for its first win of the WISL Women’s season. Both teams will be eager to turn their fortunes around and gain momentum as the season progresses.


Vancouver Storm at South Sound FC – WISL Men’s – Saturday, Jan. 31 – 7 p.m.
 The 2-7 Vancouver Storm will look to snap a two-match losing streak when they visit 3-4 South Sound FC in a battle between the fifth- and seventh-place teams. Vancouver will rely on a strong team effort as it aims to climb the standings and get back into the win column.

South Sound FC comes into the matchup with momentum, having secured a victory in its previous game. The team will look to make it two wins in a row and strengthen its position in the middle of the table.

Oly-Pen Force at Bellingham United – WISL Men’s – Saturday, Jan. 31 – 7:30 p.m.
 Fourth-place Oly-Pen Force will try to end a four-match losing streak when it hosts second-place Bellingham United. The Force will need to regroup and find consistency on both ends of the field to halt its slide.

Bellingham United, coming off a draw in its last outing, will look to bounce back and secure a win to maintain pressure at the top of the standings. The matchup sets up as a test of Oly-Pen’s resilience against one of the league’s top teams.
