WISL Men’s Roundup: Tacoma Stars Reserves Remains in First, South Sound wins and BUFC-ECFC Draws

Bellingham United vs. Everett City FC

Second-place Bellingham United and Everett City FC battled to a high-scoring 10–10 draw Saturday in a back-and-forth offensive showcase. Everett struck first and built a 4–1 lead behind a hat trick from Andrew Escalante and additional goals from Issak Abraham and Enrique Guerrero, but Bellingham answered with a steady surge led by Muhammed Darboe, Reiley Buri-Brown and Julian Herring. The teams continued trading goals through the middle periods, with Cristiano Whitaker and Sebastian Cruz contributing key scores for Everett to maintain the edge. In the fourth, Bellingham mounted a dramatic comeback as Corey Williams and Judah Straight scored before Buri-Brown netted the equalizer to secure the draw. The result keeps Bellingham in second place, while Everett moves into third in the standings.

Snohomish Sky vs. South Sound FC

South Sound FC put together an impressive performance, rolling past Snohomish Sky 12–1 at home in WISL Men’s competition. 

South Sound FC delivered a dominant performance in a 12–1 victory over Snohomish Sky, controlling the match from start to finish. South Sound jumped out to an early lead with goals from Nate Boatright and Kasey Sidor, then extended the advantage in the second period behind a pair of Craig Johnson goals and a Derek Johnson power-play strike. The offensive surge continued in the third as Craig Johnson completed his hat trick and Robby Guyer added another, while Derek Johnson tallied twice more. In the fourth, South Sound kept pouring it on with goals from Derek Johnson, Elijah Hurt (shorthanded), Nate Ford and Ryan Griffith. Snohomish broke through for its lone goal on a power play from Anthony Henry, but South Sound’s balanced attack — highlighted by Craig Johnson’s three goals and multiple power-play conversions — sealed the commanding win.

Tacoma Stars Reserves vs. Vancouver Storm

The Tacoma Stars Reserves delivered a dominant performance Saturday night, defeating Vancouver Storm 13–2 in WISL Men’s action. Isidro Prado-Huerta led with five goals in the game for Tacoma, and Tony Pena picked up the win with 14 saves in goal. The win elevated Tacoma to first place in their standings with four points over second-place Bellingham.
