WISL All-Stars Set to Face Tacoma Stars in Exhibition Game
Ahead of the 2025-26 Western Indoor Soccer League season, the league’s top players are gearing up to take on the professional Major Arena Soccer League team, the Tacoma Stars, in an all-star game.
Game Details
The All-Star game is slated for Oct. 25 at the Tacoma Soccer Center and will feature the WISL’s standout players from last season representing the league in a battle against the pro side of the Tacoma Stars.
WISL Team Lineup
Bellingham United will be represented by Christian Caro, James Salisbury, Ivan Colin, and goalkeeper Riley Liddle.
Snohomish Sky will feature Marcus Swanson, while Olympic Force sends Cole Jarrett and goalkeeper Isaiah Damschen.
The Tacoma Stars Reserves bring a balanced squad led by AJ Nitzel, Ismael Deluna, Cris Lozano, and Rainier Schlekewey.
South Sound FC will rely on Jaisen Zurfluh and Brett Stallworth to anchor their attack and defense.
For Vancouver Lightning, Luis Santamaria and Omar Gomez round out the offensive pair, while Everett City FC fields a strong trio with Manny Segura, Fernando Tavares, and Adrian Martinez.
“It’s a blessing [to make the All-Star Game]. All of the other all-star players and I have put a lot of time and effort into the game of indoor soccer, and I think it’s an awesome achievement,” said Everett City FC’s Manny Segura.
Coaching Leadership
The roster will be led by head coach Richard Henderson of Bellingham United.
“It’s a privilege to coach many of the best players throughout the league, albeit for one game. I’ve come up against some of them for years and know the qualities they possess,” Henderson said. He also spoke about the opportunity for players to experience the next level.
“[I am] mostly looking forward to matching up with the pro players and coaches. Whenever we have done games like this, you end up walking away with the feeling that the gap isn’t too big, but also in many ways it is. As a player, you walk away with tangible things that can improve your game, having matched up with guys who do it for a job. I’m excited for the younger rookies on the squad to get that experience and exposure,” Henderson said.
Tacoma Stars Perspective
Adam Becker, head coach of the Tacoma Stars, is looking forward to seeing how the top WISL players measure up in a professional arena setting.
“It’s a great opportunity for WISL players to test themselves against professional competition and to see what that next level looks like. For some of these guys, it’s a real chance to get noticed and open doors for future opportunities with the Stars or elsewhere in the MASL,” Becker said.
